There is something quite magical about Andalucía.
Perhaps it is the light. Perhaps it is the scent of orange blossom drifting through an old Spanish square, the whitewashed villages clinging to the mountainsides, the sound of flamenco spilling from a doorway, or simply the wonderful warmth of the Andalusian people.
For me, Andalucía is a place that should never simply be driven through. It should be experienced.
My name is Liana Falconer, and for more than 15 years I have been creating and coordinating private chauffeur tours and bespoke travel experiences for clients who want to see somewhere in a more personal, relaxed and luxurious way.
My background began in private aviation, an industry where attention to detail, discretion and exceptional personal service are not optional – they are expected. Those same principles remain at the heart of everything I do today with Marbella Chauffeur Tours.
Whether you are arriving at Málaga Cruise Port, staying in Málaga or Marbella, visiting the Costa del Sol for a few days, or travelling through Andalucía as part of a longer Spanish holiday, my role is very simple:
Tell me what would make your time here special, and allow me to take care of the details.
Private Tours from Málaga Cruise Port
Málaga has become a wonderful gateway to Andalucía for cruise passengers, and one of my favourite aspects of what I do is creating private shore excursions for guests arriving at Málaga Cruise Terminal.
A day in port is precious.
Rather than joining a large coach excursion with a fixed itinerary, a private chauffeur-guided day tour from Málaga Cruise Port allows the day to be designed around you.
Perhaps you would like to spend your time discovering Málaga itself. Perhaps you have always wanted to see the Alhambra in Granada, explore the spectacular mountain city of Ronda, visit a boutique Andalusian winery or simply enjoy a beautiful lunch somewhere special before returning comfortably to your ship.
For cruise guests, timing is particularly important. Your chauffeur meets you at the cruise terminal, your itinerary is carefully planned around the ship’s schedule, and your return to Málaga Port is incorporated into the day from the very beginning.
It is private, comfortable and completely personal.
Málaga – So Much More Than a Gateway to the Costa del Sol
Málaga deserves time in its own right.
It is one of the oldest cities in Europe, with a history shaped by the Phoenicians, Romans, Moors and Catholic Monarchs, and today it combines that extraordinary heritage with a wonderfully vibrant Mediterranean atmosphere.
The magnificent Alcazaba, Roman Theatre, Málaga Cathedral and historic centre tell the story of the city, while its restaurants, markets, galleries and waterfront give Málaga an energy that feels distinctly modern.
It is also the birthplace of Pablo Picasso.
For guests arriving by cruise ship, Málaga can make a wonderful private day tour without ever needing to travel far from the port – particularly for those who enjoy history, architecture, gastronomy and Spanish culture.
Marbella – Mediterranean Glamour with an Andalusian Heart
Marbella is internationally associated with luxury, but there is another side to Marbella that I particularly love.
Behind the beach clubs, beautiful hotels, boutiques and glamorous marina at Puerto Banús lies the enchanting Marbella Old Town, with narrow cobbled streets, whitewashed buildings, flower-filled balconies and the beautiful Plaza de los Naranjos.
It is this combination that makes Marbella so interesting.
You can enjoy a leisurely morning wandering through the Old Town, have lunch overlooking the Mediterranean, spend the afternoon shopping or relaxing beside the sea and finish with dinner somewhere wonderful.
For clients staying in Marbella, I can also arrange private chauffeur services, restaurant recommendations, day tours, cultural experiences and individually tailored excursions throughout Andalucía.
Ronda – One of My Favourite Day Tours from Málaga
If you ask me to recommend one of the most memorable private day tours from Málaga or Marbella, Ronda will always be high on my list.
The journey itself is part of the experience.
Leaving the Mediterranean behind, we travel into the Andalusian countryside, through a landscape of mountains, olive groves and traditional villages before arriving in one of Spain’s most spectacular historic towns.
Ronda sits dramatically above the El Tajo gorge, with the famous Puente Nuevo connecting the two sides of the town.
But Ronda is about far more than its famous bridge.
It has an extraordinary history, beautiful old streets, wonderful viewpoints and a strong connection with Spanish equestrian and bullfighting traditions.
One of my favourite ways of experiencing Ronda is to combine it with a visit to a local boutique winery.
Imagine leaving Málaga in the morning with your private chauffeur, travelling through the mountains, visiting a vineyard and tasting locally produced Andalusian wines, enjoying a beautiful leisurely lunch and then exploring historic Ronda with a knowledgeable private guide.
That, to me, is what a day in Andalucía should feel like.
Unhurried. Personal. Beautiful.
Granada – The Alhambra and the Legacy of Moorish Spain
For many visitors to southern Spain, Granada and the Alhambra are at the very top of their wish list – and understandably so.
The Alhambra is one of Europe’s great historical treasures and one of the most extraordinary surviving expressions of Islamic architecture in Spain.
The Nasrid Palaces, intricate courtyards, fountains and gardens of the Generalife tell the story of a fascinating period in Andalusian history.
A private chauffeur tour from Málaga to the Alhambra in Granada can be an exceptional experience for both cruise passengers and guests staying on the Costa del Sol.
Where possible, I recommend combining your visit with a knowledgeable private guide who can bring the history of the Alhambra to life.
Afterwards, there is time to enjoy Granada itself – perhaps with a leisurely lunch, a wander through the historic streets or views towards the Sierra Nevada before your private chauffeur takes you comfortably back to Málaga or Marbella.
Córdoba – A Meeting Place of Cultures
Córdoba tells another remarkable chapter of Andalucía’s story.
For centuries, Muslim, Jewish and Christian influences helped shape the city, and nowhere is that history more striking than in the extraordinary Mezquita-Catedral de Córdoba.
Its seemingly endless red-and-white arches are instantly recognisable, but experiencing the building in person is something entirely different.
The historic Jewish Quarter, narrow lanes, flower-filled patios and traditional restaurants make Córdoba a fascinating private day excursion for anyone interested in the history and cultural heritage of Spain.
Seville – The Soul of Andalucía
And then there is Seville.
If Andalucía has a heartbeat, you can certainly feel it here.
Seville is elegant, passionate and extraordinarily beautiful. The Real Alcázar, magnificent Cathedral, Giralda, Plaza de España and winding streets of Santa Cruz could fill an entire day – and still leave you wanting more.
But Seville is also about atmosphere.
It is sitting outside over tapas as the evening begins. It is hearing music drifting through the streets. It is experiencing the intensity and emotion of authentic flamenco.
For clients who would like to experience an evening of Spanish music and flamenco, I can incorporate this into your itinerary and recommend an experience suited to you – perhaps followed by, or combined with, a wonderful dinner.
Your Andalucía – Designed Around You
The most important part of any itinerary I create is not the destination.
It is you.
Some clients want history.
Others want wine, gastronomy and beautiful restaurants.
Some want art and architecture, while others want hidden villages, spectacular scenery, boating, shopping, beaches or simply a wonderful lunch somewhere they would never have discovered themselves.
And some clients arrive and say, “Liana, we’ve never been here before. What would you do?”
I love that question.
Because creating a memorable experience isn’t simply about arranging a beautiful Mercedes and a professional private chauffeur.
It is knowing which experiences are worth your time.
It is knowing where to stop.
It is understanding when not to add another attraction to an already wonderful day.
It is finding the restaurant that suits you rather than simply the restaurant everyone else visits.
And above all, it is listening.
More Than a Chauffeur Service
Although Marbella Chauffeur Tours provides luxury private chauffeur services throughout Málaga, Marbella, the Costa del Sol and Andalucía, what I offer goes considerably further than transportation.
I can assist with the complete experience surrounding your visit – from the moment we begin discussing what you would like to see.
Depending on your interests, this might include private chauffeur-driven tours, Málaga cruise shore excursions, private guides, winery visits and tastings, restaurant recommendations and reservations, boat experiences, cultural tours, flamenco evenings, Spanish dining experiences, scenic drives, bespoke day tours and multi-day Andalusian itineraries.
You may know exactly what you want.
Or you may simply know that you want it to be special.
Either is perfectly fine.
Arriving in Málaga on a Cruise?
If your cruise is calling at Málaga Cruise Port and you are considering a private shore excursion, I would be delighted to help you make the most of your time ashore.
Depending on the length of your port call and your personal interests, we can explore possibilities including:
Málaga • Marbella • Ronda • Granada & the Alhambra • Córdoba • Seville • Andalusian wineries • white villages • gastronomy • history • art • flamenco • private guides and bespoke cultural experiences.
Every itinerary is individually considered around your arrival and departure times, your interests and the pace at which you prefer to travel.
There is no one-size-fits-all Andalucía.
And I don’t believe there should be a one-size-fits-all tour either.
Experience Andalucía Your Way
After more than 15 years of creating private tours and looking after international clients, I still get enormous pleasure from introducing someone to a place they have never experienced before.
Andalucía has so much to offer – its history, its people, its food and wine, its music, its extraordinary architecture and those wonderful landscapes that can change completely within an hour’s drive.
If you are planning a visit to Málaga, Marbella or Andalucía, or arriving into Málaga Cruise Terminal and would like a private luxury day tour designed especially for you, please get in touch.
Tell me a little about yourselves, how long you have here and what you love.
I will take care of the rest.
Warmest wishes,
Liana Falconer
